Housekeeper

This active family is currently interviewing an Executive Housekeeper for a full-time, year-round Housekeeper position. The family lives here in Florida from the end of September until July generally. There is other staff in this formal home, who all work hard as a team and they are currently excited about bringing in another long-term team player. This is typically a five-day work week, Monday thru Friday, usually 9-5, but must also be available for the occasional shift changes if and when there are guests. There are always two consecutive days off, but there is a rotating weekend schedule, so must be available for some weekends during the season. Excellent housekeeping and organizational skills with solid knowledge of the care of fine finishes and surfaces. Must have excellent time management skills, an eye for detail, and knowledge of fine fabrics, wardrobe management with excellent laundry skills. Must be familiar with and experienced in working in an Estate home, with knowledge of treatment and handling of antiques, fine art and furnishings. This lovely mature couple is looking to retire their current Housekeeper of 15 years, with someone who is looking for a career position for the next 10 years. They use their residence here about 10 weeks a year as a vacation stop, so generally, the position is Monday-Friday, with the occasional weekend when they may be in town. There are a couple of staff members here in Florida, but they travel with their Chef and a housekeeper, to keep the workload reasonable. This active, mature couple is looking for a full time Housekeeper, with excellent laundry skills to work year round in their 14,000 sq ft home. They are snow birds, so it could be busy during the season, but summers are set aside for special projects and deep cleaning. There is a lot of home, but the two of them only use the downstairs generally. Between the Housemanager and the Chef, this person would have plenty of time to take care of all the daily graces and laundry. The home is kept meticulously neat and the successful candidate should be detailed oriented, conscientious, and efficient. They can be very flexible with days and hours and can provide a nice salary and medical benefits.

This mature couple is looking for a very experienced Laundress/ Housekeeper to assist their Executive Housekeeper who has been with them for 20 years. This 7000 sq ft home is occupied by Mr and Mrs, and they do like the linen on the bed changed 5 days per week, and all sheets need to be pressed. Knowledge of a Miele Rotory Iron, Rowenta Steam Iron and Hand Steamer necessary. Additional duties include mopping the front foyer,and assisting the Executive Housekeeper with the remaining daily tasks. This very busy family is looking for a hands on housekeeper/mothers helper to assist in the busy day of a growing family. First responsibilities include full time housekeeping, assisting the other housekeeper with maintaining the second floor and childrens bedrooms, making of the beds, detailing bathrooms. Laundry, ironing, folding of clothes and organizing all closets is a very important duty, while maintaining the remainder of the home to the highest standard. Cleaning of the kitchen area, pantry, outside pool area and kitchen and helping with kitchen duties necessary. Maintaining the pool area and cabana closet with pool towels and supplies, sunscreen, waters, drinks, etc. Disinfecting all surfaces, the toys in the playroom, and the bathrooms is a constant need. This is a Monday- Friday position, 8-5pm, and they can use a second person to work 5pm until 11 pm to help with dishes in the kitchen, laundry at the end of the day, and preparing fruits and the breakfast table for the morning. This mature couple is looking for a sweet, capable, housekeeper/laundress to live in their separate apt over the garage, and help maintain their estate home. The days required are Wednesday through Sunday, with Monday and Tuesday off. They have a houseman who handles the heavier duties, but they are looking for someone who can work generally 10am -7:30pm when they are home for dinner, to help with dinner and clean up, or 9-5 the days that they are going out to dinner. Duties include dusting, lots of dusting, laundry and ironing, but the finer items need to be dropped off at the dry cleaners. General organizing of their 10,000 sq ft retirement home and assisting Mrs in her many projects would be appreciated. References and experience required.

This is a formal home and they require someone who can work five- nine hour days, maybe Noon to nine pm, Monday- Friday, help the other housekeeper, do the shopping and prepare one lovely meal, dinner, with a proper table setting and service. There could be some summer travel, if or when they might do that, but for the moment, they are staying home and would love to come home to a glass of wine, and dinner at 7pm. This very active family of five with three grammar school aged children are looking for a very experienced Housekeeper to care for their new 6000 sq ft home. Excellent housekeeping and organization skill with a solid knowledge for the care of finishes, fabrics and furnishings. They do have a separate pool house for the Housekeeper, and they are looking for someone who can start at varied early times in the morning, and have a midday break and help with after school and dinner. They are flexible with the schedule, but there is always laundry and ironing. The successful candidate must love the family dog and cat, be able to drive, and have verifiable references.
